High Performance Engineering Network
The Network will focus on two sectors - aerospace and motorsport. Both are of great importance to the East Midlands’ economy.
Motorsport
Motorsport engineering technology constantly changes, this effects working practices, product design and product development, manufacturing processes, quality requirements and is highly innovative and cutting edge. Network support will specialise in each of these areas.
Aerospace
Aerospace companies identify their priorities as lean methods in manufacturing and “Process Excellence” which covers concept design, R&D, training through to service and maintenance as well as manufacturing improved project management and supply management. The Network will focus on these key areas to improve the competitiveness of small and medium sized firms operating in this sector.
