    East Midlands New Technology Initiative (NTI) has been awarded the contract to distribute £600,000 of capital grants to help schools deliver the new Diploma qualifications. The funding has been provided by East Midlands Development Agency (emda) under their Catapulting Kids Further initiative.

    As we move into the final nine months of our current funding contract, we are completely overwhelmed with the demand from SMEs in our region for grant support, and their willingness to undertake in some cases quite sophisticated training. Despite doom and gloom in the media about credit crunch and price increases (or maybe because of this) businesses in the East Midlands certainly appreciate the importance of ongoing investment and skills development in an increasingly competitive market.
