   Summary	Youth and community work is changing as the pressures faced by young people and their communities are becoming more severe and more complicated. Youth and community workers deal with the problems of homelessness, poverty, drug misuse, crime and abuse.

   Summary	You can study Applied Social Work full or part time. There's also a work-based route if you're in employment and have the support of your employer.

4. Course title	Applied social work - work based route
   Dates
   Summary	You can take the course in three stages and it will take you approximately three to three and a half years to complete. The course is made up of both academic and practical modules. You'll complete most of the academic modules online, although occasionally you'll need to come in to the University at pre-arranged times. You'll usually need to log on at least two to three times a week. You'll normally take the practice modules in your agency - this will be organised by us in conjunction with your employer.

6. Course title	BTEC National Award/ Diploma in Health Studies - Level 3
   Dates	Ongoing
   Summary	The Health Studies course is taken by those who wish to progress into health professions such as nursing, midwifery, podiatry or paramedic science. This course enables entry into Higher Education. You will initially be enrolled for the six unit Award. This must successfully be completed before progression on to the National Diploma in year two.
