Food & Drink Sector

The future

  • we need to produce significantly more food in the future in order to have sufficient and secure food supplies.
  • we need to reduce the amount of energy required to produce our food, reduce the amount of packaging used and reduce the levels of waste.

Achieving these goals will require the food and drink industry workforce to have greater knowledge of, amongst others, the science, technology, engineering and financial issues associated with all aspects of food manufacture, storage and distribution.

A good time to invest in your own employees.

With approximately 1 in 4 technical roles in the sector being difficult to fill and with fewer students opting to study this important subject area it may be the right time to enhance the knowledge and skills of your existing employees.
