Beyond Brokerage
A new service to front line brokers providing easy access to the expertise and high level skills training your clients need from the region’s Universities, FE Colleges and Private Providers
Target audience
Front line brokers: Business Link, Sector Skills Councils, Lifelong Learning Networks, Trade Associations, organisations that have regular face to face contact with SMEs.
Who delivers Beyond Brokerage
Beyond Brokerage is delivered by East Midlands New Technology Initiative (NTI) and funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda).
Who is it for?
All front line brokers and advisers working with small and medium sized businesses who need higher level skills training to become more competitive and flourish.
Which sectors does it cover?
Transport Equipment, Construction, Food and Drink, Healthcare, Creative Industries and Energy & Low Carbon.
How does it work?
East Midlands NTI employs a team of specialist Higher Level Skills Advisers to take referrals from front line business advisers and then research and tailor specific solutions for each business.
The Higher Level Skills Advisers will remain in close contact with each business and oversee the whole process through to completion, and enrolment on the relevant courses. They will also keep you fully briefed.
The basic benefits
Beyond Brokerage recognises the difficulties of finding the right courses, and that specialists are needed to find and deliver solutions. It will provide a streamlined, finely targeted and cost effective method of bridging the gap between demand and supply for high level skills.
The Higher Level Skills Advisers will also identify new areas where curriculum needs to be developed by providers to encourage truly demand led provision becoming more widely available.
